Fort Lauderdale Story Slam: Heroes

Fort Lauderdale Story Slam: Heroes

Poetry Reading/Spoken Word
True Stories Told Live. Please join us for an evening of true, personal stories about the heroes among us. The Fort Lauderdale Story Slam is a storytelling contest in which people tell 5-7 minute true stories about their own lives. The performers include first-timers and seasoned storytellers, and the stories cover a wide range of human experience from the comical to the profound. The evening features eight storytellers, and includes fun, interactive storytelling games for the audience between the stories. The theme of the evening on February 2nd is Heroes. Doors open at 6:00pm for a pre-show Art Exhibit and Live Music. The story slam features real stories told by regular people. If you’ve got a great story and you’d like to be in the slam, please submit your idea online at www.worldandeye.com/storyslam or by phone or email: Helen (954) 279-0994 / Jean: 954-540-9897 / helen@worldandeye.com. $100 prize money for the winning story.
