SWAN Spoken Soul Showcase Vol. 12 - SWAN Day Miami

Spoken Soul Festival 2019 main event SWAN Spoken Soul Showcase Vol 12 Celebrates Women Artists in Honor of SWAN Day (Support Women Artists Now). Spoken Soul Festival is celebrating an equally simple and complicated concept: the word. SSF 12's theme, #WordIsBond, explores how in the digital age words have no boundaries and comments on how because of this, words are more powerful than ever before in our history. The open admission showcase will experience the rich cultural diaspora that they have come to expect from the SSF's signature event: women dancers, poets, visual artists, vocalists, and a female DJ, all representing different cultures and unique voices. This year's theme, #WordIsBond, will take center stage, weaving in, out and in between dancers' limbs, peeking out from visual works, and swirling through the air in sync with live musical notes.

Disney's The Lion King: National Tour

This acclaimed production is based on the animated Disney movie, but is quite different from the film. From the startling opening, featuring life-sized animal representations taking over the stage to pay tribute to the lion king, this unique theatrical experience tries to make a statement about the cycle of life and death in the wilderness. Thrill to the rhythms of the African Pridelands and an unforgettable score including Elton John and Tim Rice's Oscar-winning song "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" and "Circle of Life."
