“The Invisible Woman” photography exhibit featuring the work of a select group of women photographers will be presented in honor of International Women’s Day. The opening reception will be held on Saturday, March 10 from 4 to 7 p.m. at ConcreteSpace, 3400 NW 78th Ave, Doral, FL 33122. Featured artists are Niloufar Banisadr, Peggy Nolan, Priscilla Forthman, Sheila Elias, Mirta Gómez, Alexandra del Canto, Gloria O'Connell, Angelika Rinnhofer and Lissette Schaeffler. The exhibit is curated by Carol Damian, Ph.D., an internationally-respected art historian.
The public can view The Invisible Woman from Monday through Saturday, March 10 through May 2 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. or by appointment. The reception and admission to ConcreteSpace are free.
The Invisible Woman is an official International Women's Day event. International Women’s Day, first observed in the early 1900s, celebrates the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. A global event, it includes a call for gender parity.
