Afro-Latino Professionals – Honoring Antonio Maceo

Please join us for the next Afro-Latino Professionals gathering to honor the history and legacy of "The Bronze Titan" General Antonio Maceo on Thursday, Dec. 7th. 6-9 pm. Meet us for a brief tribute at the General Antonio Maceo statue at Cuban Memorial Park, then take a stroll with us to Old's Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina (1442 SW 8th Street Miami, FL 33135) to continue discussing Maceo's legacy and network with other professionals. We encourage you to bring flowers and candles to help commemorate General Maceo's legacy. Here's the plan: 6 pm-Meet us at Old's Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina (across from CubaOcho), then we'll stroll to the Antonio Maceo statue in Cuban Memorial Park. 7pm-9pm- Stroll back to Old's Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina for drinks & appetizers. Old's Havana Cuban Bar & Cocina Specials: -Enjoy a free welcome cocktail on the house -Happy Hour Specials: $5.95 cocktails, $5.00 Appetizers About Antonio Maceo Born June 14, 1845, Antonio Maceo y Grajales became an entrepreneur and one of the greatest military commanders of the both the 1868 and the 1895 wars for independence. When the final battle with the Spanish enemy was imminent, Maceo was killed in combat on December 7,1895. He was then 51 and had devoted 32 years of his life to the independence of Cuba. -AfroCubaWeb
